What he should have done, for the sake of the company, was to be more transparent and open about the situation rather than simply silencing those who were raising questions about the company.I'm glad that the whole thing has come to light and there is at least a chance that it will result in improvements to its business practices. I hope it creates greater transparency within corporate America. And, perhaps, within society as a whole.If I had the answer to the question of what Massey's business practices were all about, I'd be able to provide you with a much more accurate answer. Instead, I will just say that I believe in trying to be as transparent as possible and presenting accurate information to the public. For me, the answers of what Massey's business practices are, if any, remain murky.
